Upon attempting to log onto the chat, several people from the U.S and Europe are getting

This window: http://client16.addo...t_signed_en.jar

With this message: upon trying to load the chat:
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system

Allowing only two options of either : Ignore, or Reload

Another complaint of the same problem, common theme hbas been that this occurs after Java update. Everyone has already been instructed to completely delete Java, and reinstall the earlier version before the update. This has had no effect. They have also attempted to delete java and reinstall the updated version. this has not worked either. System Restore to an earlier date has not helped either.


When I tried to get onto the chat earlier, sun microsystems had their update pop-up for the java applet that runs the chat. This is the exact same sun microsystems stuff. I double-checked the source site to be certain, prior to downloading. That said, I know that it isn't a virus. Anyway, now, when the java window begins to form on the chat screen, a symbol pops up in the upper right-hand corner. It's the symbol that you see used to represent files, with an exclamation point in front of it. In front of this symbol, a message says, "Error. Click for details" (it doesn't have a period at the end).

i can log in without problems also, it's random and only certain people. last week it was Kentucky logins,. It makes no sense. the one I posted up was a south Florida person, but someone from north Florida doesn't have the same problem,

Wow! This is weird. May be it depends on their Internet provider.. Also I'd ask them to change a browser, just for checking. If they use Internet Explorer ask them to try Firefox, or Google Chrome. You just never know. Even though Interner Explorer is a Windows' "native" browser it doesn't mean it's the best (I personally hate IE and use FF).

just had someone try, he usually uses Firefox, has tried IE and Chrome with no success

Hi guys Im also having this same issue yet a lot of my us chatters can get in fine.... As a temporary fix in your control panel - chat room link code use the unsigned link code.

It will mean a few key features will become unavailable but it gets you in.

can you explain what you mean by "unsigned link code"?

Also, is there some fix being created to put an end to this issue?

In your control panel - chat room link code untick the use digitally signed app box re copy and paste your chat room link code into your website or use the direct link.

I must tell you though this will disable the use of remote images such as those used in img tags. Small price for being able to get back into your chat room. As I said this is only a temporary fix I discovered myself. When the issue is fixed, to use img tags again you will have to enable this feature by ticking that box again. I recommend you only do this option if you are aware multiple chatters are unable to log into your chat room.

I can assure you the development team will be working on this.

I copied the unsigned link code and gave it to the people that were having the problem. It worked, they can get into the chat now. Thank you for the temp fix :)

I hope they get this odd problem fixed soon however
