Sorry -- I was so upset with the timeframes on response that I threw this away, but have retrieved it now:

Hello,

We recently experienced an issue with one of our servers which was causing intermittant connection problems for some users.
This problem has been isolated and should now be resolved.

Please let us know if any of your users continue to experience disconnects from your chat room.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

Yes i experienced the same issue in my chat room today. I mean some were able to stay on, including myself, for over 8 hours. However there were a few that were disconnected over 30 times!! I would really like to hear some kind of solution to this issue. And I did put in a support ticket. But, if anyone else has solved this problem I'd like to know how and why it happened to begin with.

Curious as to how progress is going on fixing the latest batch of Java bugs. I've not really seen many posts from the development team over the past few weeks; with the exception of a helpful post on how to revert back to a prior Java version, in addition to the above ticket reply that was copy/pasted here. All the same, my users are still having issues logging in, as well as the userlist-jump bug I've seen posted about in another thread. I love AddonChat and the service it's providing for my community, but the lack of updates and/or posts regarding update progress is making me a bit concerned. Just a few weeks ago the servers seemed to have been going wonky, and the recent Java update has been causing a number of problems - I'm sure the team is busy at work on getting things fixed, but having a dev make a post or two that says as much would be reassuring I think. The last officially announced update was when 9.0 launched (over 11 months ago).

I understand the need to keep aspects of the development process internal, but as a community manager of my own site I can't stress the importance of keeping your community up to date, if only just to say "We're working on a few small tweaks." or "We're aware of the latest Java issues and are making a number of fixes, thanks for your patience." and so forth.

I don't mean to complain. I really enjoy AddonChat and all that it does. Compared to other chat solutions on the market I feel that AddonChat has a significant upper hand and I look forward to continuing to use AddonChat (having used the chatroom since the days of SigmaChat). A little more communication would be nice, is all. Just my thoughts. :)
