In recent days, my chat is lagging more and more. It is also starting to freeze more.

I've made no changes since the upgrade (other than upgrading my URL as is appropriate) and have had no issues since making those changes a while back.

I'm curious as to what may be going on that would cause such horrible lag. It is not restricted to myself. People sometimes have to log out of chat just to see what they posted. I've timed how long it takes a post to appear after hitting enter and it is sometimes almost a full minute.

Further, it is not consistent as to when it happens. Sometimes it is at the start of chat. Sometimes it is after we've been chatting for a while. Sometimes we don't see it for a day or two.

Firefox (latest version) is the browser used.

Ideas?

No ideas on this? It's still happening. My users are quite frustrated.
