I have addon chat integrated with my vb4 site and want to have the chat tab open in a new tab within the browser.

Hi,
At the moment, the only options we provide with VB4 are to show the chat room within the current frame, or within a pop-up window. Have you considered using the pop-up as an alternative to opening in a separate tab?

I used to have the chat open in a pop up window but the users did not really like it. Thanks for your reply.

You could try searching the templates for the link code- the link you'd be looking for is 'addonchat.php' I believe. From there you could modify the HTML code however you wished- though I'm afraid I can't tell you exactly how to open in a separate tab.
