Hello, my question is there a way to extend the timeout in the chatroom, I know there was in the older version but seems to be missing here. Normally it isn't a problem but it seems the timeout has been shortened by a good bit, I mean you go get a bite to eat or go to the restroom and you've been booted out.would be nice to have it at least like 20 or 30 mins for those slow times when your talking and looking up information in another tab

Hi Eddie,
The idle kick delay for connected users hasn't changed since the previous version, and is still ~1800 seconds (30 minutes). If you're being connected via a "firewall friendly" (http proxy) connection, the idle kick time is 12.5 minutes.
If you're being disconnected earlier than that, your logs will indicate what type of disconnection occurred. Is an error message displayed after you're kicked?
You can completely disable idle kick delays from the User Group editor.

Eddie, the free edition does have a built-in timeout. It shouldn't be any shorter than 30 minutes though. What message is displayed to you when you get automatically logged out?

Thanks, Eddie. It's definitely an idle disconnect. We'll double check our systems to determine why this is happening to you before 30 minutes have elapsed.
