Doesnt seem like a terribly difficult question.. Last i heard was middle of Jan for a Alpha. So since its approaching the middle of march a simple update would be nice other then the standard "we are working on it" As a paying customer i was hoping a simple question would merit a response..

Yes "we are working on it" may be an answer once.....but it has been months and "we are working on it" isn't really giving anybody any idea of when or if anything is happening :confused:

Okay will be waiting for some kind of answer :whistling:....bsides "we are working on it" ;)

Whats sad is i have went months without a chat solution.. Of course this is in no way addons fault, but i never bothered to search out other software on faith that something was in the pipe and could possibly be available sooner then later.. I also understand you are currently involved in other more lucrative projects.. And to be honest i was really hoping i could get away with no chat on my site but the members wouldn't have any of that.. A testament to the addictiveness of the addonchat software.. But at the same time im insulted that i as a customer i do not get the impression that you value me enough to warrant a response on the subject..

Hi guys,

Apologies that it may seem like any work toward an integration is being ignored but I assure you it isn't. Development is currently working on finishing up V9.0 of AddonChat. We can't make any promises but it is hoped to be released in March. I'm not a part of development and can't give you any assurances that it will happen in March.

After V9.0 is released development will begin modifying any existing integrations where necessary and work on new integrations for third party applications. All we can ask is your continued patience and understanding. :)

Thanks for the update Greg.. The natives are getting restless, We have begun using IRC chat and since it doesnt authenticate through our own DB its a real pain.. I tried to go without a chat solution but all that did was push my members to other forums with addon chat installed.. I NEED this for XF asap.. IRC chat is actually better then i previously thought but authentication problems make it a show stopper..

So from the sounds of thing i suspect we wont see a beta until early summer? I could live with that i suppose. But not having any details to share with my community, turns the talk into this competitor and that competitor have a chat room lets go there.. BLA Bla its all frustrating.

For the time being, I've just kept my chat account as a free account, seeing as the main draw to use the pro version, for me, is the integration. My users don't exactly like the free version though so I hope an XF integration is released in the near future. I need to have an excuse to dip into my bank funds ;).

I have a vBulletin Professional PLUS installation, and it looks like AddonChat integration is the only thing stopping me from converting to Xenforo.

+1 my vote to add Xenforo ASAP :)

Thanks!

No updates yet.

I've purchased the software and we're committed to releasing a module for XenForo; however I cannot give you a release date estimate at this time. All efforts are currently being put into v9.0, which is a major software update to our core system.

We do contract module jobs out, so any developers interested in working on the project (on a contract basis) feel free to contact support@addonchat.com and ask for Chris, and please reference this post by URL.

Understandable... but we had to ditch VB4 ASAP... right now we're running IRC and we hate it... but its all we've got until AddonChat comes to XenForo.

Where is that like button?

I suspect/predict this will be available for XF in July when my premium subscription expires. Story of my life :p

Well now that AddonChat9 is out... whats the word on this? I haven't been using Addonchat for almost a year now, and I feel like my subscription has completely gone to waste =P

v9.0 is still in beta testing but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Take a look at this post. http://forums.addoni...27682#post27682

Once v9.0 is in final release there will be a lot of work still ahead and from all indications XF will be one on the "must do" list but I can't speculate at all the time table for any or all projects.

I'd also like to submit my vote in support of AddOnChat integration with XenForo.

Now that version 9.0 has been released, is there a clearer idea on when Xenforo Integration will be released? I understand the difficulty in predicting these types of things, but the curiosity is there. The re-launch of my website will use Xenforo exclusively.

As will mine, Mr_Bob. Unfortunately it looks like I may have to drop AddOnChat until an XF solution becomes available. :(
