Such a big improvement, few things I've noticed though...

1) The "Who's chatting" at the bottom of the index doesn't honor the username styling for groups. I noticed Admins were red but other groups had no styling associated with them as set via the IPB admin.

2) The "Who's chatting" on index shows cloaked users, which defeats the point of having the feature.

3) While in chat, right clicking and going to profile doesn't work for me, I just get a board error. The URL seems confusing and not really associated with anything...

4) There is no hierarchy for groups in the list pane. For example, I want Admins at the top, then moderators, then members - but it just seems kinda random, is there a way to set a hierarchy for certain groups, or just colours?

5) No error message for those not allowed in Chat, if I join while logged in (but not in a group with permission) it just boots me out saying wrong username/password - which is misleading, is it possible to have a custom error message in this instance?

Thanks. :)

Excellent feedback, thank you!

Items 1,2,3 and 5 need to be addressed immediately and resolved. I'm going to give it another 24-48 hours or so as we're still collecting feedback before we release our next update but I assure you we'll be addressing these issues.

In item #4 I presume you're referring to the user-list within the chat room? Are you using remote authentication? Just curious. If you'd rather we work together via e-mail please e-mail support@addonchat.com attn:Chris and I'll be happy to assist. Depending upon your settings, the chat room should list Guest Speakers first, followed by Admins, followed by moderators, then all other users. Each section is sorted alphabetically. The pawn colors do not necessarily correlate to usergroups though so that is important to keep in mind. In your AddonChat control panel under Look & Feel -> Layout & Features -> UserList Options, please ensure that "Rank users (guest speakers, admins, and moderators first):" is set to "Yes".

Again, thank you very much for your fast, detailed feedback.

Hey Chris, no problem,

I'm using remote authentication. Moderators still appear above Admins.

I've also noticed that Moderators with Admin Control Panel access are also listed as Admins, instead of Moderators.

Do your moderators belong to a usergroup that has "Administrator (Declare User(s) as Administrator(s))." set to "Yes"? is in your IP.Board control panel? By setting this to "No" does it change the list order to what you had previously been used to?

Nouf,

To copy between applications on most operating systems, you'll need to use Ctrl-C (copy) and Ctrl-V (paste). This is a security feature of Java.

Please use this thread for posts concerning the new IP.Board module. All other inquiries can be directed to the support forum at http://forums.addoni...display.php?f=6 or via e-mail to a technician at support@addonchat.com. Thank you :)

@nicksource:

I'm having problems duplicating your issue with the right-click profile link in the chat room. It seems to be working fine on my test machines. Would you mind e-mailing me (support@addonchat.com attn:Chris) so I can determine why this is happening? I'd like to get a fix out ASAP.

The other issues have been addressed and an update will go online shortly, but I'd really like to get the remote function feature working properly too :)

I expect to put the final update online Tuesday or Wednesday. I still haven't been able to duplicate your issue and so far none of the other testers have written in with any issues.

All but one of the other remaining issues have been resolved at this point.

Version 1.0.3 is now available for download.

This version addresses the following issues:

* Who's Chatting Active Content section now respects IP.Board's built-in username styling.
* Who's Chatting Active Content section no longer lists users who have logged into the forum cloaked/anonymous.
* An error message is now provided for forums users who are not permitted to enter the chat room.

Cheers Chris, works a treat.

I found another bug, when you are in chat and refresh, the counter in the Chat tab increases, as if it adds yourself to the counter again.

I've checked this and it doesn't work perfectly.

The problem is, if I have a Moderator, with a secondary group as Admin, they show as Admin in chat because although they aren't declared Admins in their Moderator group, they are in the Admin group.

This might be something I have done wrong, as I think I can still allow Moderators access to the ACP, instead of giving them a secondary group.

I shall do some testing for you but it might be worth considering that the primary group overrides anything in the secondary group?

Yep I was right I can set ACP permissions to the Moderator user group without giving them a secondary group, so that fixes the issue of them being the same colour as me.

However, Moderators still get listed ABOVE Administrators - they are both declared as "Admins" in the permissions but it would be nice to prioritise their position in the list. :) Maybe order by Group ID descending?

Are you referring to the user list within the chat room (if so, that is a fairly popular feature request we are addressing) or the user list as it is displayed within IPB's Active Content region?

Heya, Chris! It's Kelly Crawford - long time no talk. :)

Got a question for you on this integration. We just installed IPB on RenegadeRadio.net and I downloaded the integration module for chat and everything seemed to install fine - except AddonChat isn't showing up in the My Apps tab so I can't configure it. Any ideas?
