I hate to sound like I'm pestering... but is there any word on XenForo integration?
Which application would you like integrated with AddonChat?

At the moment all new and updated integrations I believe are on hold till after the release of v9.0. There is no definite release date on this version but as soon as it is in final release there will be new and updated integrations where necessary.
Everyone's patience is greatly appreciated. :)

I would like to dump VB4 and move to XenForo as soon as possible... the only holdup is Addonchat... I would rather not use a different chat service, as Addonchat has been GREAT.

I suspect this particular port is one of the lowest priorities at AddonChat i would imagine it has alot to do with supply and demand and id bet XF just doesnt have the customer base that makes this port even remotely worthwhile for another several months.. I doubt any of us will even see an Alpha before next year.. By the time they get the next version out they will have to update all the other product lines and XF just wont ge the attention it deserves until next spring at best.. IMO.. A good example is the poll above, XF isnt even important enough to get a spot added to the poll here.. IRC almsot destroyed one of my forums.. So we are without a chat solution at all, and actually after the fiasco created by a chat product that dosent authenticate through he forum DB, we will never add any chat solution to that site again..

VonDoom,
I'm pretty certain you'll see it by the end of the year.
The poll above is ancient, and is now closed- or should be! :) What happened (long after that poll) right around the time XF was catching steam was a massive influx of requests for XF integration.
Let me speak plainly here. This company actively manages two active services (AddonChat being the most popular, by far), and a handful of legacy products. On top of that, we provide "official" integration for VB, IPB, and Drupal. We also have an official integration script for WP, but that is handled by someone else.
Here's EXACTLY what is going to happen from this point in time with respect to development.
1. AddonChat v9.0-Beta public announcement (expected in ~1-3 days)
2. AddonChat v9.0 Beta testing period (~2 weeks is typical)
3. AddonChat v9.0 official launches
4. Post 9.0 development clean-up (this is where we fix the problems not found in Beta...)
5. VB 4.x Integration Updates
6. Drupal 6 Integration Updates
7. IPB 3.x Integratoin Updates
8. WP Updates (outsourced)
9. XenForo Integration
10. Joomla Integration
?. Support Center re-design, with potential for web site redesign
11. AddonLiveSupport updates
12. (Possible spec project)
Many (most) of the items past #4 are done concurrently. I can't and won't give time frames for anything not shown above. With the latest Java copy/paste conundrum, we learn to expect the unexpected :)
There are a LOT of XenForo fans here, and I'm keeping up to date too- in fact, I have a feeling XF will be one of the biggest contenders in their industry soon.
We do outsource these projects to professional developers. If you know of a solid XenForo developer who understands our software, send them to us and we'll be happy to discuss the project with them.

This sounds great...
Might be perfect timing with my launch of xenforo on my big board.
My users love addon chat...and so do I!
