I don't know if this is a beta related bug or normal expected behavior but users today noticed that the private rooms do not have the typing indicator. I did not see a place to set this to visible in the control panel. Did I overlook something obvious in the control panel that turns this on/off for private rooms?

If by private rooms you mean user created room (temporary room) there is no setting for them. For now typing indicator is a setting for permanent rooms only. :)

I for one wouldn't mind seeing an option somewhere for for temporary room typing indicator.

Hi Olijo,

It wasn't included in our v9.0 release last August, that's not to say it will not be included in the next major release. There is no date set for the next major release but features that were not included in the current version might still very well be considered for future versions.
